Oh my. Check out the e-mail my mother just sent me:
"Dana,
you won't believe what we're dealing with here. The WORST ice storm we've ever had...trees down everywhere. Looks like a tornadoe ripped thru our back yard. Tree near your bedroom window...gone! Trees along wall in backyard...trashed...broken off like toothpicks! Trees going up driveway...heavily damaged!
Brigham road was impassible early this morning til muscle Joe plowed a big tree limb out of the way. Route 122 was 3/4 blocked near the Greek's house.
Power has been out since 10:30 Thurs nite and is not expected to be back til at least Monday!"
(Muscle Joe and The Greek are two of our more colorful neighbors, don't ask.) Also, for the record, she sent the e-mail through this old AT&T cell phone hookup thing my dad has, because obvi they have no power.
Woo! This is what I'll be heading back to! New England huanjing ni!
